Best Bollywood action thrillers of 2024 — Kill, Singham Again, Kalki 2898 AD

Set in a dystopian future, Kalki 2898 AD takes inspiration from Indian mythology and weaves it into a futuristic sci-fi tale. The title references Kalki, the supposed 10th incarnation of Vishnu, symbolizing the restoration of balance in a chaotic world. Amitabh Bachchan Ashwatthama, Prabhas plays Bhairava, the future incarnation of Karna, Kamal Haasan plays the antagonist, Supreme Yaskin, while Deepika Padukone plays SUM-80 aka Sumati, a lab project and Playing the role of Kalki’s mother. Bajirao along with Simmba (Ranveer Singh), Veer Suryavanshi (Akshay Kumar) and other characters rescue Avni from Sri Lanka. The film bears similarities to the Ramayana, with each character being an incarnation of a character from the Indian epic. The film unites many of the popular characters from Rohit Shetty’s cop universe with an added dose of high-octane action.
