Linkin Park almost always claims at least one spot on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart. The weekly tally ranks the most-consumed hard rock full-lengths in the country, and it should come as no surprise to anyone who follows the genre that the now-largely-defunct group can seemingly be found on the list at all times.
This frame, Linkin Park occupies a pair of spots on the Top Hard Rock Albums tally. Coincidentally, their two wins appear side-by-side, with the band placing one beloved title next to another as it mounts a comeback.
Linkin Park’s Meteora reappears on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart this week. The group’s sophomore full-length breaks back onto the consumption ranking at No. 4. Last week, the set was nowhere to be found.
At the same time that Meteora finds its way to the hard rock-only roster, Linkin Park also lands at No. 5. Their recently-released compilation Papercuts comes in just behind their traditional studio album, as fans continue to buy and stream the singles that made the band a household name, which largely power the greatest hits effort.
Papercuts falls several spaces to land right behind Meteora. Last week, the compilation ruled the Top Hard Rock Albums chart for another turn. This frame, it slips from No. 1 to No. 5.
The Top Hard Rock Albums list is owned by a brand new title this time around. Ghost’s Rite Here Rite Now debuts at No. 1 on the ranking, bringing the metal favorites to the summit with the soundtrack that accompanies their recent concert film.
In the past tracking week, Meteora moved another 13,500 equivalent units, according to Luminate. Meanwhile, Papercuts managed around 10,700 units. As the compilation drops by more than 42% in consumption, Meteora grows by a huge sum.
