Keough also shared a heartbreaking letter that Lisa Marie wrote when she was younger.
“She also wrote these letters when she was little, where we’d say, ‘I hope my dad doesn’t die,'” he said.
“So there was some type of understanding there,” Keough said.
During the interview a letter from Lisa Marie was shown. It read, “I love my mom and dad and I hope you support them [sic] Don’t die.”
Keough confirmed to Oprah that Graceland was often chaotic, adding, “But it was just her and her dad upstairs. I think he got a lot of intimate time with her there. There was no one upstairs.”
Lisa Marie was Elvis’s only child. The “Burning Love” singer and his then-wife Priscilla Presley welcomed their only child on February 1, 1968.
