Luke Bryan clarifies his comments about Beyoncé not receiving any nominations for the Country Music Awards.
“It’s a tricky question because, obviously, Beyoncé made a country album and Beyoncé has a lot of fans who support her. And if they don’t get something they want, man, they come to you, as fans should do,” Bryan said on Andy Cohen Live last week.
Beyoncé fans felt insulted, especially considering that Cowboy Carter was the most successful country album of 2024.
“I’m posting tonight on the Andy Cohen Show based on headlines of the ridiculous nature I’ve read over the past few days from an interview I did this week while I was promoting my album. I feel in my heart that I cannot let the media spin a false narrative,” he wrote.
Bryan asked fans to listen to the full interview and said that his “tone and intentions” were not negative.
“I respect Beyoncé and I love how loyal her fans are. I spend a lot of time supporting other artists. I want everyone to win,” he said.
Beyoncé has not responded publicly to his comments.
