The photos show Madonna in a black lace corset and in one photo, the Pope is looking down the barrel of the camera while the Pope puts his face to hers.

AI digital artist Rick Dick posted the photos on Instagram and the Vogue singer reshared them.

“M.I.Donna and the Pope. Thank you @madonna ❤️‍🔥,” the artist wrote.

Re-sharing the post, Madonna wrote on the first picture, “Going for the weekend like…” and on the second picture she said, “Feeling good to see…”

Fans were quick to react to the controversial post.

“This is ridiculous and pathetic at the same time,” said one.

Another said, “Don’t post things that offend God and the faith of millions of people, have more respect, don’t repost lies and don’t create lies with artificial intelligence.”

Another said: “Nonsense, sad and useless use of modern equipment. What is the message? What do you want to say?”

“How disgusting,” one user said.

For decades, his complex relationship with Catholicism has remained a fixture in his art and in the public eye.

Growing up in a devout Catholic household in Michigan, Madonna’s early years were steeped in the rituals of faith, from Sunday Mass to praying the rosary.

But as she moved into the music industry, she turned those sacred symbols into tools of rebellion, challenging traditional ideas of faith, sexuality, and identity.

From the crucifix-heavy imagery in Like a Virgin to the provocative blend of sexuality and religious symbolism in Like a Prayer, Madonna has consistently used motifs of religion in her art.

“I have a weird relationship with religion,” he told Harper’s Bazaar in 2013.

“I’m a big believer in ritualistic behavior as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone. But I’m not a big fan of rules.

“And yet we cannot live in a world without order. But for me there is a difference between rules and system.

“People follow the rules without question. Harmony is what happens when words and actions bring people together, not tear them apart.

“Yes, I like to provoke; It’s in my DNA. But nine times out of 10 there is a reason for it.”
