A man was stabbed in the stomach during a fight on a Brooklyn subway platform Saturday morning, police said.
The 31-year-old victim was taken to NYU Langone Hospital in stable condition, according to police.
The incident happened shortly before 6 a.m. on the northbound “D” train platform at Bay 50th Street and Stillwell Avenue in Gravesend, police said.
A department spokesperson said, “This was a dispute that escalated into a fight.”
The NYPD said police were searching for two suspects, one of whom was wearing a gray sweatshirt.
Around the same time, around 5:40 a.m., a Mercedes-Benz traveling southbound at 2900 Flatbush Avenue struck a 60-year-old pedestrian, killing him, authorities said.
The victim died on the spot.
The 23-year-old man who was driving was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition, police said.
The NYPD said, “The investigation is ongoing.”
