A deranged customer climbed over a Brooklyn laundromat counter and attacked a female employee with a knife Monday — all because his dry cleaning wasn’t picked up on time, according to police and the business owner.
The attacker — who police said was wearing a gray shirt and white sneakers — fled immediately after the brutal attack at the Bath Avenue laundromat and fled north on 21st Avenue toward Benson Avenue, the NYPD said.
Meanwhile, EMS workers transported the victim, a woman in her 50s, to NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn in stable condition.
Police have no information on what prompted the attack, which happened about 1:50 a.m. — but the owner told a Post photographer the suspect became angry when items he left out that morning weren’t ready to be picked up.
This is a developing story,
