Marla Adams, who played Dina Abbott Mergeron on the CBS show The Young and The Restless, has died aged 85.
Adams died on Thursday in Los Angeles. A cause of her death has not yet been disclosed.
In 2021, Adams won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actress in the drama series that she starred in for 37 years.

The show’s producer and head writer, Josh Griffith, said she had made an “unforgettable mark” across the 235 episodes she appeared in.
“On behalf of the entire company of The Young and the Restless, we send our deepest sympathies to Marla’s family,” he said.
“We’re so grateful and in awe of Marla’s incredible performance as Dina Mergeron, as both Marla and Dina made an unforgettable mark on Y and R.”
Adams joined the show in 1982, left after three years and reappeared for stints in 1991, 1996 and 2008.
She returned full-time in 2017 and reunited with her on-screen family, but it was revealed Dina had Alzheimer’s.
