Who is Sanjiv Goenka?
Sanjiv Goenka is the founder and chairman of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group (RPSG Group) headquartered in Kolkata. He is the son of Rama Prasad Goenka, who founded the RPG Group, a multi-sector Indian industrial conglomerate. Sanjiv Goenka has an older brother, Harsh Goenka, who is currently the chairman of the RPG Group. In 2011, Sanjiv Goenka established the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group (RPSG Group) after the family businesses were split between the two brothers.

Born and raised in Kolkata, Sanjiv Goenka, received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from St. Xavier’s College in 1981. His wife, Preeti Goenka, is a well-known interior designer. They have two children, Shashwat and Avarna. The former currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of the RPSG group.
