Meet the richest K-drama actor; and it’s not The King: Eternal Monarch actor Lee Min Ho, Descendants of the Sun star Song Joong Ki or Crash Landing on You’s Hyun Bin


Whether you’re a fan or not, the global popularity of K-dramas isn’t “crash landing” anytime soon. With massive hits like Crash Landing on You and Squid Game, the spotlight on K-drama actors and actresses is at an all-time high. But who is the richest K-drama actor? Hint: It’s not Lee Min Ho, Song Joong Ki or Hyun Bin.

Meet the richest K-drama actor

Kim Soo Hyun is the richest K-drama actor. According to Edudwar and Zee News, the Hallyu star has a staggering net worth of $117 million (approximately Rs 970 crore). The It’s Okay to Not Be Okay star is also the highest-paid K-drama actor, as he reportedly charges $423,000 (approximately Rs 3.5 crore) per episode. Kim Soo Hyun made his K-drama comeback recently with Queen of Tears opposite Kim Ji Won. The rom-com drama can be watched on Netflix.

Amongst the richest K-drama actors, we also have Lee Min Ho. The King: Eternal Monarch star reportedly has a net worth of $26 million (approximately Rs 215 crore). The Hallyu star will next be seen in Ask the Stars opposite Gong Hyo Jin.

Not far behind, we have Song Joong Ki, who has a net worth of $25 million (approximately Rs 207 crore). The Descendants of the Sun star’s last K-drama was Reborn Rich, and it’s yet to be confirmed as to what his next project will be. The Hallyu star’s movie My Name is Loh Kiwan was released recently to mixed reviews.

Hyun Bin has accumulated significant wealth throughout his flourishing career, and his impressive net worth stands at $21 million (approximately Rs 174 crore). The Secret Garden star’s last K-drama outing was Crash Landing on You opposite real-life wife Son Ye Jin. While his next K-drama is yet to be confirmed, the Hallyu star will next be seen in the movie Harbin alongside Jeon Yeo Been, Lee Dong Wook, and more.

Other additions when it comes to the richest K-drama actors include Oh My Venus star So Ji Sub ($41 million or Rs 340 crore), Romance is a Bonus Book star Lee Jong Suk ($32 million or Rs 265 crore), What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim star Park Seo Joon ($21 million or Rs 174 crore), Vagabond star Lee Seung Gi ($16 million or Rs 132.61 crore), Goblin star Gong Yoo ($14 million or Rs 116 crore), and Healer star Ji Chang Wook ($12 million or Rs 99 crore).
