Michelle Obama, Dems’ dream Biden replacement, soaks up sun on Mallorca with ex-Google boss as chaos consumes Dems at home

Crisis? What crisis?

Former first lady Michelle Obama looked like she didn’t have a care in the world Wednesday, when she was spotted chilling out with ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt at a party on Mallorca.

The former first lady relaxed and sipped water as she chatted with fellow guests during the bash at the villa of James Costos, former President Barack Obama’s onetime ambassador to Spain and Andorra.

Back on American shores, Democrats have plunged further into a panic over President Biden’s chances of prevailing over former President Donald Trump in the Nov. 5 general election.

Eight House Democrats have publicly demanded Biden, 81, step aside, while their Senate counterparts have been more measured, though still rattled.

“Donald Trump is on track, I think, to win this election. And maybe win it by a landslide and take with it the Senate and the House,” Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.) vented to CNN Tuesday evening. “I think we could lose the whole thing and it’s staggering to me.”

Michelle Obama, 60, has talked publicly about how she broke into “uncontrollable sobbing” during Trump’s inauguration back in 2017. She’s also warned against electing the presumptive Republican nominee to a second non-consecutive term.

Several polls have suggested that Michelle would easily beat Trump in a hypothetical matchup. One survey, released earlier this month by Reuters/Ipsos, showed her walloping Trump by a double-digit landslide in the popular vote.

Unfortunately for Democrats, the former first lady has ruled out the possibility of a White House return.

“As former First Lady Michelle Obama has expressed several times over the years, she will not be running for president,” her rep said back in March.

“Mrs. Obama supports President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ re-election campaign.”

Last month, after Biden’s poor debate performance against Trump triggered widespread hyperventilation among Democrats, the 44th president backed up his ex-VP.

“Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know. But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself,” he posted June 28 on X. “Last night didn’t change that, and it’s why so much is at stake in November.”

Biden inked a letter to congressional Democrats Monday declaring that he is “firmly committed” to serving as the party standard bearer and that it’s time “to end” the conversation about finding a replacement.

The president is set to deliver a “big boy” press conference on Thursday, which is widely seen as a test of his ability to go unscripted for an extended period of time amid the uproar over his mental acuity.
