Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer says no to presidential run to focus on ‘real hot girl s—t’

LANSING — Who needs the White House when you have “Hot Infrastructure Summer?”

Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is publicly distancing herself from rumors that she plans on tagging in for President Biden if he bows out of the 2024 race — understandable, since she clearly has more important things on her mind.

In a tweet posted Monday morning, Whitmer declared: “#HotInfrastructureSummer is here, and everyone knows that strong, reliable infrastructure is real hot girl s—,” riffing off rapper Megan Thee Stallion’s smash hit “Body.”

Michigan’s roads are notorious across the Upper Midwest for the size of their potholes — a problem that has persisted for decades, much to the delight of auto shops across the state.

Whitmer ran for governor in 2018 on a promise to “Fix The Damn Roads,” but her critics say progress has been middling at best.

Reactions to the 52-year-old’s post on X expressed similar frustration with her leadership.

Whitmer is the most popular Democrat in Michigan by far and is seen by many as the key to keeping the swing state blue come November.

However, Politico reported this week that the governor herself warned the Biden campaign the Mitten State was a lost cause for the president following the June 27 debate debacle.

It may be Hot Infrastructure Summer now.

But winter is coming, and it may be a cold one for Dems.
