The eldest daughter of still-missing Texas real estate agent Suzanne Clark Simpson has accused her father of murdering her for trying to leave him.
“My mother was a victim of my father’s abuse,” Chander Simpson, 20, wrote in a series of messages shared on Instagram. San Antonio Express-News On Wednesday, exactly a month since her 51-year-old mother was last seen during a violent fight at home.
“My father took my mother’s life in a fit of rage and control,” she claimed about Brad Simpson, 53, who has been charged with domestic violence and tampering with evidence.
“My mother tried to leave my father and lost her life,” the grief-stricken daughter alleged.
Simpson, a mother of four, disappeared Oct. 6 after hearing her arguing with her husband at their home in Olmos Park, police said. His body has still not been found.
Just an hour before her disappearance, Simpson had complained of being physically abused by her husband, according to her own mother, Barbara Clark, who believes her daughter is dead.
Chandler accused people of turning a blind eye to domestic violence.
“In our community, this should not happen and I will not stop speaking as the voice of my mother until she is found. “I will always represent all victims of domestic abuse and assault,” she wrote.
“It is time to speak. Speak for my mother. speak for yourself. Your voice will be heard, my mother fought for her life, fought for her family and for herself.”
Her father, a local property businessman, was arrested on 9 October and charged with unlawful restraint and assault causing bodily harm to a family member.
Authorities had previously said that on October 6, neighbors heard them fighting outside their home – and then also heard screams from nearby woods.
The husband was later charged with additional serious charges of tampering or fabricating physical evidence and possessing a prohibited weapon for allegedly hiding an AK-47 for himself from his business partner. He is being held on a total bond of $3 million.

Chandler called on anyone who stands with his mother to “please be present” when his father is in court next Wednesday.
“Stand silently with us for my mother,” he wrote. “Justice will be served and my mother will be brought home.”
According to Express News, Brad and Susan were married for 22 years and have three other children, aged 15, 8 and 5.
