In a social media post that has shocked Northern Beaches Moms Facebook In the group, a woman shared a revolting experience after purchasing a pack of Bonds period undies.
While opening a package containing $16 worth of black boyleg underwear, she was horrified to find brown, insect-like debris inside.
The woman, Lisa, wrote alongside a video of dirty underwear: “WTF are these? Just opened a pack of period undies. “
Brown particles cover the fabric, and some small, insect-like creatures are mixed in the debris.
It didn't take long for the comments to flood in…
“Get them out of your house right now.”
“I'll post this on the Bonds page 🤢,” one person suggested, echoing several other commenters.
“EWWWWW,” someone else wrote, while others shared multiple vomit emojis.
“Yes. Not good,” another mom responded, while someone else called the situation “wild.”
“Get them out of your house now,” urged another local.
The poster then responded that he had already vacuumed the affected area and any debris that had fallen on the floor.
Then a member speculated that the creatures might be termites, writing, “I think they're silver bullet termites.”
Another user agreed and suggested the woman call pest control immediately.

Others resorted to Google reverse searches for assistance in identification.
“Google Lens seems pretty confident about them being termites. Wow,” one mom shared.
Then, another member of the group mentioned his previous experience with a different product: “These bugs don't look exactly alike, but a lot of customers were sent carpet beetles from a foreign knitwear brand. We were advised to go out with the luggage and spray it with insect spray.”
And another user pointed out, “Bond is produced overseas. This is related to strict quarantine laws. I don't recognize these bugs.”
Several commenters advised that the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry should be contacted instead of just the bond as this could be a biosecurity risk.
