An Emerson College poll found that a shocking number of young people support the murderer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, with 41 percent of whom say Luigi Mangione’s alleged actions are “acceptable.”
Twenty-four percent of American voters aged 18–29 responded that Mangione’s brazen execution was somewhat acceptable, and 17 percent said it was completely acceptable.
There was also a stark partisan divide among those surveyed, with 22% of Democrats saying they considered the killer’s actions acceptable, compared to only 12% of Republicans and 16% of independents who did so.
The survey of 1,000 voters was conducted last week.
