Netflix will bring back its two main showcases for 2025 after TUDUM took a one-year hiatus in 2024. Both of these events are Netflix’s way of previewing its upcoming slate of movies and series from around the world.

Netflix Tudum, not to be confused with the website of the same name, first arrived in January 2020 to feature all types of Netflix shows and movies. The first ever event was an individual Brazil event that initially focused primarily on titles from that region, although several English-language shows also participated. A second, digital-only showcase took place later that year, with the show returning again digitally in September 2021 and 2022, though each showcase expanded the variety of content featured.

show in 2023 Converted to a live event in Sao Paulo, BrazilOver 25,000 fans attended over several days at a convention center, featuring a variety of activities. Additionally, a live stream was broadcast around the world, with some big stars in attendance and some major news, first looks and release dates were announced.

Sadly, the event will not return in 2024. It’s unclear why TUDUM skipped it this year, but it could be the case that it’s transitioning into a bi-annual event, much like Disney runs its own fan event, D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. That returned in 2024 and the next one is scheduled for 2026.

The news of its return in 2025 came through a Variety Interview with Shelley GilliardNetflix’s vice president of US and Canada series marketing, earlier this year. “Tudum, we are excited to be back again next year. We are in the early planning stages,” Gilyard told Trade.

Geeked Week could be combined with Netflix Tudum in 2025

Geeked Week saw its biggest update in 2024, transitioning from an online-only event in prior years to an in-person event in Atlanta. This week, we had several announcements in preparation for the live stream on September 20, including a piece The star is hosting with the help of Joe Manganiello cobra kai Xolo Maridueña and Jacob Bertrand. The showcase was great, and there were definitely some surprises throughout the livestream, even if the rest of the week felt a little bare-bones.

At the end of the live event, it was not confirmed by those present on the live stream or on Netflix Geeked Social that there were plans to bring the show back in 2025. Variety reports that Geeked Week will return in 2025, though it’s unclear in what format.

The report suggests that Geeked Week may be paired with Netflix Tudum for the first time, as they are traditionally separated by several months. Gilyard posed the idea, “Are there ways we could potentially connect events? So we’re still talking about those early days, but this genre and ‘geeked’ titles and ‘geeked’ fandom are something we’ll always find ways to celebrate.”

Those are the two main Netflix showcases that are coming, but don’t forget that we’re still waiting for Netflix’s next show for 2025. So far, we’ve unveiled a Turkish film and series, as well as revealed a slate for Korean films. And the Dutch title, and tomorrow, Netflix shows off its extensive international slate to the pressNetflix UK is planning to reveal a slate in late January, and we suspect the main US next on Netflix will also be in January 2025. We’ve also heard that we might get some reveals during NFL games on Christmas Day. fingers crossed.
