The Territory, or should we say the Australian version of Yellowstone, is finally available to stream on Netflix. The trailer of the show caught the attention of many people and rightfully so. The acting, cinematography, and of course, the music will make you want to stream the show right now. But before you get into the show, you might want to know a little about the characters and the actors who play them on screen. Well, we are here to answer just that. Below, we’ve listed the Territory actors and characters featured in the latest TV shows on Netflix.
1. Anna Torv as Emily Lawson
Emily Lawson is the daughter-in-law of Colin Lawson and wife of Graham. She is a highly ambitious and smart-witted woman compared to her husband. However, despite being one of the brightest minds in the family, Colin does not trust him in business. This is because Colleen believes that since she comes from a family that is not as influential as Lawson’s, she would not understand what it is like to run a huge empire.
Anna Torv is an Australian actress who has won several awards for her immense contribution to the industry. Some of his most recognized appearances were in the sci-fi series Fringe, the post-apocalyptic show The Last of Us, and the ABC drama series The Newsreader.
2. Robert Taylor as Colin Lawson
Colin Lawson was the one to hand over leadership of the cattle farm to his son Daniel. However, we do not see him do this in the series. He is a father no child deserves. He had two sons, whom he taught to fight each other since childhood to make them stronger. On the other hand, he tortured Graham to such an extent that he lost all his self-respect and did not know how to stand up for himself.
Robert John Taylor is an Australian actor who has appeared in several television shows and films since 1988. These include We’re Still Here, NCIS: Origins and more.

3. Michael Dorman as Graham Lawson
Graham Lawson is the elder son of Colin Lawson, who never treated him well due to his sensitive personality. This also became a reason why leadership of the station was given not to Graham but to Daniels. He grew up in an abusive environment that ultimately traumatized him and pushed him toward alcoholism in adulthood.
Michael Dorman is a New Zealand actor, widely recognized for his roles in the sci-fi series For All Mankind, the film Suburban Mayhem and others.
4. Sam Corlett as Marshall Lawson
In the series, we see the Lawsons stay together not for the love of their family, but for the wealth that comes with that name. However, Marshall initially did not care. He went rogue and was away from the farm for years, but had to come back and face his family at his uncle’s funeral. Marshall intended to leave after paying his respects, but his family ties prevented him from going. Now, he is stuck in a lot of trouble even to acquire the country’s largest cattle farm.
The Marshal is played by Sam Corlett in the Territory cast. You may not have seen him as the actor has only appeared in a few shows. However, he has made a name for himself by playing the lead role of Leif Erikson in Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla.
5. Philippa Northeast as Susie Lawson
If the Lawsons are the vultures circling to grab the biggest piece, then Susie Lawson is the sweetest vulture of the group. The granddaughter, who has dropped out of college, has returned to the farm not to be pampered but to take her rightful place in the family. The trailer didn’t put much spotlight on Susie, but she plays an important role in the show.
Philippa Northeast does a beautiful job with the character, and we expected nothing less. The Australian actress has a diverse portfolio. From working on a soap opera (Home and Away), the actress has appeared in TV shows and movies like The Newsreader, In Limbo and Standing Up for Sunny.
Apart from the main Territorial cast, some supporting cast/characters have also played an important role in the show and helped it receive positive reviews. Below, the supporting cast members of Territory:
- Clarence Ryan as Nolan Brannock
- Jay Ryan as Campbell Miller
- Sarah Wiseman as Sandra Kirby
- Dan Wylie as Hank Hodge
