It may seem like the world and its countries are at odds with each other.

At its core, Libra energy seeks to understand all sides of an equation. Libra has the unique ability to hold two opposing truths and understand them. This does not mean that one is right and the other is wrong. Rather, Libra teaches us to understand the whole picture before making a decision or taking a stance. True justice is done when the whole truth is revealed.

As you go through this eclipse, notice what truths emerge in and around you. Then, ask yourself if they are true. This eclipse is a time to question everything within and around you. Not to prove it wrong, but to understand it and then decide if it is true for you.

Ruled by Air, Libra connects us to others. This energy takes our focus off of ourselves and reminds us that we live in a world full of other beings. These others can help us grow, admit when we're wrong, and most importantly, help us enjoy life. The people we choose as our partners play a key role in our energetic evolution. If we're up for it, our partners can teach us things about ourselves that we would never have learned without them. This season is a time to embrace the people in your life and learn together.

The first and most important step to getting along with another person is to love yourself. Your relationship with yourself is the blueprint for every other relationship you have in this life. How you love yourself determines how you give and receive love from others. How you react to yourself when you are disappointed, sad, and frustrated is how you will react to others when they disappoint, sad, and disappoint you. How you treat yourself when facing challenges is how you will treat others. Similarly, how you treat yourself is not only how you treat others, but it is also how you allow others to treat you.

In Libra season, take a look at yourself and your relationship first. Libra is represented by the fair and just scales. This energy teaches us to constantly strive for balance in our emotions. It teaches us that life will not always be peaceful and we will not always feel calm. However, we have the ability to bring ourselves peace and stability with the right tools.

This learning may involve situations or scenarios that upset us and make us feel off center, so we find a means that leads us back to peace. If you encounter difficult situations, consider this an opportunity to develop a means or practice to keep yourself calm. Experiment with different breathing techniques, affirmation exercises, yoga, and other methods. These means can be as simple as taking three deep breaths with your eyes closed to find your center. Or you can find short meditations that you can resort to in times of need.

Most importantly, Libra helps you learn how to keep an eye on yourself. The first lesson of this season is how to calm your body, mind, and energy after it's been disturbed. The second lesson is how to catch the subtle cues of your body, mind, and breath that tell you when you're about to feel incoherent. Spend some time noticing what it feels like right before you lose your temper. What are your cues? Pay attention to your breath, heart rate, and thoughts. Then try to use one of your tools to maintain harmonious energy in the face of adversity.

As you find ways to bring yourself back and maintain a calm state of energy, you will also find it easier to build a foundation for loving yourself. If you get upset or react from an inconsistent place, know that you are human and have many emotions swirling around you. It is important to accept them and be patient with yourself. This practice will help you appreciate others, even when they don't look perfectly good. It will also help you accept guidance and feedback from your partners.

When we fail to love ourselves unconditionally, everything feels like an attack and we become defensive at the slightest advice about how we can change for the better. This feels hurtful rather than helpful. However, when we love ourselves unconditionally, we can take our partner's suggestions and experiment with them – or at least think about them. We can also admit when we were wrong and work to do better next time.
