A year ago, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Tyler Perry – two self-made black billionaires – were bidding to buy black entertainment television. Diddy was offering around $2 billion, and Tyler was offering a little more. Had either of them succeeded, it would have been the largest entertainment deal ever made by a black person.
Although no one succeeded, still It seemed as if America was on the verge of a new era of black business leaders. And Tyler and Diddy were on pace to take over the world.
Now exactly one year later. Sister is sitting in federal prison, And there’s a new documentary about Tyler Perry coming out that looks set to condemn the billionaire mogul and tarnish his reputation.
Media Take Out learned that the documentary, titled Maxine’s Monster: Surviving Tyler Perryis a three-part series – which will speak to alleged “victims” of the billionaire mogul.
The name of this new unauthorized documentary is a play on the recently released documentary on Tyler Perry. Maxine Child: The Tyler Perry StoryBy award-winning producer Gelila Bekele
The film’s poster shows an empty director’s chair with the names of leading actors and celebrities who have worked with Tyler in the past – including Christian Keyes, Lance Gross and Alfonso Ribeiro written on it.
All three of these men have worked extensively with Tyler, and none of them (to the best of our knowledge) have ever publicly claimed to be Tyler’s victim.
Last year, Christian Keys made allegations about a mysterious “billionaire” who abused her, and people speculated he might have been talking about Tyler. But Media Take Out reached out exclusively to people close to Christian, who told us he is “not affiliated in any way” with the new documentary.
In fact the exact words of the Christian people were “HELL NO”.
Media Take Out confirms that Tyler Perry has hired some of the best lawyers in the world to shut down production. His legal team is threatening to sue anyone involved in the production of the film.
Here’s a blogger explaining what he’s saying. Obviously you have to take his words with a grain of salt, because these days people are making all kinds of baseless allegations:
