BMW Electric Scooter in India: German automobile company BMW Motorrad is set to launch its first electric scooter – BMW CE 04 – in the Indian market. This premium electric scooter, already available globally, is priced at $11,795 abroad. In India, it is expected to be around Rs 10 lakh, similar to the cost of an entry-level SUV. Pre-launch bookings are now open, and the official launch date is July 24.

BMW has started pre-launch bookings for this premium electric scooter. Interested customer can book it by visiting any BMW dealership. The scooter’s price will be revealed at the launch. Given its high cost, it is anticipated that the scooter will face no direct competition in India.
BMW CE 04: Design
The BMW CE 04 boasts a premium design, measuring over 2 meters in length. The exact dimensions are 2,285 mm in length, 855 mm in width, and 1,150 mm in height, with a seat height of 780 mm. It features 15-inch wheels, telescopic front forks, and disc brakes on both wheels.
BMW CE 04: Performance and Battery
The scooter is equipped with a liquid-cooled PMS motor that generates 41 bhp and 60 Nm of torque. It has a top speed of 120 km/h and accelerates from 0-50 km/h in just 2.6 seconds. There are three riding modes: Eco, Rain, and Road. The 8.9 kWh battery pack offers a range of 130 km on a single charge. Using a standard charger, it charges from 0-100% in 4 hours, and with a DC charger, it fully charges in 1 hour and 40 minutes.

The BMW CE 04 comes loaded with features, including ABS, ASC, electronic reverse, and traction control for safety. It also has a Type C USB port, a 10.25-inch TFT screen, and keyless ride support.
