BMW i5 M60 xDrive: Overview
Globally available in two variants – eDrive 40 and M60 xDrive – the BMW i5 showcases enhanced performance capabilities. The M60 xDrive variant features dual electric motors, delivering a combined output of 601hp and 820Nm of torque. This powertrain enables the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100kph in just 3.8 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 230kph. Notably, the M60 xDrive model offers BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system as standard, distinguishing it from the rear-wheel-drive configuration of the eDrive 40 variant equipped with a single electric motor.
BMW i5 M60 xDrive: Range, Power, Charging time
While the traditional Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) 5 Series will be available in long-wheelbase form, the BMW i5 will solely be offered in the standard wheelbase configuration.

The India-bound M60 xDrive variant is expected to deliver a WLTP-certified range of up to 516 km on a single charge. Furthermore, the sedan comes with an 11kW AC charger as standard, with the option to upgrade to a 22kW onboard charger. Additionally, it offers a 205kW DC charging capability, allowing for a rapid 10-80 per cent charge in just 30 minutes, as claimed by BMW.
