Mahindra & Mahindra on Monday said its total wholesales in August rose 9 per cent year-on-year to 76,755 units.
The total number of units dispatched by the company to its dealers in August 2023 was 70,350 units.
The Mumbai-based auto major said in a statement that its passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market grew 16 per cent to 43,277 units last month as against 37,270 units in August last year.
The company's total exports last month increased by 26 percent to 3,060 units, compared to 2,423 units in the same month a year ago.
M&M said its total tractor sales last month stood at 21,917 units, up 1 per cent from 21,676 units in the same period last year.
Hemant Sikka, President, Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra, said, “The upcoming festive season, better than normal monsoon, bumper Kharif harvest and favourable trade conditions for farmers are expected to boost tractor industry growth.”
