Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the price of the much-awaited 4×4 variant of the Thar Rocks. Starting at Rs 18.79 lakh (ex-showroom), the Thar Rocks promises great off-road capability and ultimate comfort.
The Thar ROXX is powered by a 2.2L mHawk diesel engine, which is available in two configurations. The 4×4 manual transmission (MT) variant produces 111.9 kW of power and 330 Nm of torque, while the 4×4 automatic transmission (AT) variant produces 128.6 kW of power and 370 Nm of torque. Both variants are equipped with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, ensuring a thrilling driving experience in any terrain.
The Thar ROXX is built with Mahindra's cutting-edge 4XPLOR technology, which includes advanced off-road systems including an electronic locking differential and a low-ratio transfer case for improved traction. Its terrain modes – snow, sand and mud – make it a great companion for off-road adventures. Additionally, it has an impressive water-fording capability of up to 650 mm, ensuring readiness for all kinds of challenges.
Revolutionary off-road features
Mahindra has introduced two groundbreaking technologies with the Thar ROXX – CrawlSmart and IntelliTurn. CrawlSmart allows drivers to maintain a steady low speed without using the pedals, giving more control over obstacles, while IntelliTurn enables a tighter turning radius by locking one of the rear wheels, perfect for tricky off-road maneuvering.
Booking and Delivery
Bookings for the Thar ROXX 4×4 variant will open on October 3, 2024, both online and at Mahindra dealerships across the country. Deliveries are scheduled to begin around Dussehra, giving enthusiasts a chance to get their hands on this powerful off-roader in time for festive season adventures.
