Nicole Scherzinger was reportedly in contact with Liam Payne on October 16, the same day he died.
According to Andrew Lloyd Webber, who composed the music for his Broadway musical “Sunset Blvd,” the 46-year-old Pussycat Dolls alumnus was texting the 31-year-old One Direction singer while he was in Argentina before her sudden death .
Weber explained, “I think there’s something that hasn’t been said, and I think I can say, that he definitely guided Liam out of One Direction.” board In an interview published on Thursday. “She was still messaging him on the Wednesday when he died.”
After learning of Payne’s death, Scherzinger performed as Norma Desmond in the Broadway production – a move for which Webber commended her.
“He had just heard that he died,” she explained, “and the fact that he even did the show is extraordinary. I mean, she’s a wonderful, wonderful woman. Without a doubt he is one of the finest artists I have ever worked with.”
The Post has reached out to Scherzinger’s rep.
The singer was always in Payne’s corner.
She was a judge on “The X Factor” when One Direction was formed. Resurfaced footage reveals that it was Scherzinger, not Simon Cowell, who suggested placing Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik and Payne in boy groups rather than allowing them to compete individually.
This is a developing story…
