A city homeless shelter worker was stabbed to death in Brooklyn on Thursday night, according to police sources.
The 35-year-old Department of Homeless Services employee was stabbed outside a shelter on East New York Avenue in Brownsville around 6:20 p.m. and then ran back inside the building for help, police and sources said.
According to the NYPD and sources, the man had been stabbed in the neck and stomach and was bleeding in the lobby before doctors arrived.
He was taken to Brookdale Medical Center but could not be saved.
No arrests have been made and the NYPD did not immediately have information on the victim’s attacker or attackers.
