A Big Apple taxi driver’s cab crashed and overturned in Manhattan early Tuesday, leaving him upside down.
The male driver was found hanging from his seatbelt inside his wrecked yellow cab after the crash at East 32nd Street and 2nd Avenue in Murray Hill about 5 a.m., FDNY officials said.
The yellow taxi can be seen lying on its roof in the middle of the road as firefighters work to free the cabbie Shocking pictures from the scene.
At one point, the driver appeared to be in pain as first responders inspected the wreckage.
The FDNY said the driver was taken to Bellevue Hospital after being reported injured by the debris.
According to officials, his exact condition was not immediately known.
It was not immediately clear how the accident occurred, or whether anyone else was involved.
