A 57-year-old woman died after she was shot in the face at a condo building in Lower Manhattan on Monday night.
The woman was found dead in an eighth-floor hallway of the Two Bridges Building at 44 Market St. just after 11 p.m., police said.
According to police, two suspects fled the building after the fatal shooting.
As of Tuesday morning, the pair were still at large.
New York police withheld the victim's identity as officers were working to notify his family members.
The 12-story building where he was killed has 16 condo units with balconies and views of the Manhattan Bridge.
The building also houses a preschool and commercial space on the ground floor.
The two-bedroom, two-bathroom house with three balconies currently for sale is priced at $1.38 million, according to the online listing.
The investigation is ongoing.
