The “queen” of talk, Oprah Winfrey, has been chosen to host it AI and our future: Oprah Winfrey specialwhich airs Thursday, September 12 at 8-9:03pm ET on ABC (and the next day on Hulu).
This special issue features Winfrey's exclusive interviews with a variety of well-known names in the technology sector, including Open AI CEO Sam Altman, Microsoft co-founder and Gates Foundation Chairman Bill Gates, YouTube creator and technologist Marques Brownlee, Center for Humane Technology co-founders Tristan Harris and Aja Raskin, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and author Marilynne Robinson, who consider AI's threat to human values and ways in which humans can resist the facilitation of AI.
Sam Altman will explain in layman's terms how AI works. Bill Gates will explain the coming AI revolution in science, health and education and warn of the impact AI could have on the job market. Marques Brownlee will demonstrate AI's capabilities. Tristan Harris and Aza Raskin will tell Winfrey about the emerging risks posed by powerful and super intelligent AI. And Christopher Ray will explain how criminals and foreign adversaries are using AI in negative ways.
