Edgar moved around different districts during his elementary and middle school years, said Veronica Gutierrez, who has known the teen since he was a child.

Another friend said it was only a matter of time before Edgar got into big trouble.
“I’m surprised it happened, but I guess I’m not totally shocked,” says Luis Acevedo, who lives near Edgar. “He was angry, always ready for a fight. I would say he was a ticking time bomb.”
Edgar is accused of opening fire during a Halloween street celebration that drew more than 50,000 costumed people in the bar and restaurant district of downtown Orlando early Friday morning. Two people died in the attack.
Nine other people were injured, and a woman was trampled and injured as partygoers panicked and ran away.
Authorities said some of the 100 police officers patrolling the area encountered Edgar.

“This was a blatant execution in the middle of our streets, and so this is something that cannot happen in our community.”
