The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced high risk warnings on more than 10,000 pounds of pork products in four states in two separate recalls.
Baltimore-based Impero Foods & Meats, Inc. is recalling approximately 7,485 pounds of raw pork sausage products that were produced “without the benefit of federal inspection.” USDA announced on Friday,
FSIS received notice that products were being produced in a facility in which the grant of inspection was suspended. FSIS monitored and determined that Old World Italian Sausage Links and Ropes were not inspected by FSIS, leading to their recall.
The affected items were produced from October 3, 2024 to December 19, 2024, and contain the installation number “EST.” 10827.” The products were shipped in 10-pound cardboard boxes to restaurants and retail locations in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
There are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions or illness due to consumption of the products, but the USDA advises people who purchased “Old World Sausage” with an unknown brand between October 2, 2024 and December 19, 2024, to It should be abandoned. the product or return it to the place of purchase.
FSIS designated the recall as Class I, Which is described as “a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that use of the product will lead to serious, adverse health consequences or death.”
Meanwhile, in Oklahoma, Ralph’s Packing Company is recalling approximately 3,132 pounds of ready-to-eat pork and beef bologna products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. USDA announced on Friday,
FSIS was informed that the labels applied to the products did not include milk as an ingredient.
The recalled meats include Ralphs Circle R brand Garlic Bologna and Garlic Bologna with Jalapenos. These items have been produced since September 2022 and can be frozen, leading to concerns that they may still be in the fridges or freezers of people or establishments.
The installation number of the affected products is “EST”. 51557″ inside the USDA mark of inspection, as well as the following lot codes:
- Ralph Circle R Brand Garlic Bologna: 0093, 0654, 0804, 1074, 1153, 1224, 1374, 1774, 1924, 2572, 2974, 3132 and 3483.
- Ralph’s Circle R Brand Garlic Bologna with Jalapenos: 0804, 1074, 1224, 1233, 1354, 2184 and 3374.
FSIS has issued a Class I recall warning that these products may be cut and sold at retail deli counters.
There are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products, but people who have purchased them are urged not to consume them and throw them out or return them to the place of purchase.
