Passenger forced to give up first class seat on Delta — for a dog

Talk about a rough flight.

A Delta passenger was barking madly He was forced to give up his luxurious first class seat To a hitchhiker – and was extremely angry to discover that the lucky VIP was a dog.

“I was upgraded first thing this morning, only to be downgraded (to a worse seat than before) 15 minutes later. I asked the desk agent what was going on and she said “something has changed”, Cross customer complained on Delta Air Lines Reddit earlier today.

Unknowingly the nice boi was given a first class Delta seat that was initially given to another passenger, who posted this photo on a popular airline message board earlier today. reddit/ben_bob

“Ok, ok, I’m dissatisfied but whatever, I climb into my first class seat only to see this dog… and now I’m angry,” Redditor @Ben_Bob Explained One post showed that an unknown animal had taken over the space that should have been its own.

After contacting Delta support, the disappointed passenger, who had received an extra legroom bulkhead seat, became upset, saying that any human passengers may have to move to accommodate service animals – and in these situations “they Can’t do anything”.

“There’s no way that dog would have spent as much with this airline as I have,” the frustrated oligarch insisted, calling the mix-up a “complete joke.”

“Really, what does it mean to be loyal to this airline now,” he added. “I sat back when others complained about this airline’s recent mistreatment of customers and decline in service levels, but I’m also starting to question my own integrity.”

Many Delta passengers immediately took to the side of the embattled jetsetter.

“Note that nowhere else in life Do you see this number of service animals?Go to the airport and suddenly they appear,” one thought.

“Especially in America. This doesn’t happen anywhere else. This is American main-character syndrome,” chimed in another.

Someone joked, referring to the top Delta status level, “The dog probably has 2 million miles of Diamond Medallion.”

“2 million miller good boi,” someone else offered.

“You forgot the 2 million mile fake ‘service dog’,” interjected one frustrated vacationer.

“I saw a lot of service dog jackets flying yesterday. As did every other person who had a service dog. This is so out of control,” he groaned.

But while the situation may have been annoying, a Delta employee joined the conversation to remind everyone that legally, passengers with special needs and service animals get priority in bulkhead rows.

“When I was in reservations, whenever people wanted blocked seats I had to advise them that Delta had a legal obligation to move them if a disabled passenger needed it,” he said.

But travel expert Gary Leff took the human traveler’s side in the dog debate.

Leff wrote, “I really don’t see the logic in Delta bumping a first-class passenger for seating a dog in the bulkhead.” view from the wing,

“To be sure, airlines are generally required to provide reasonable accommodations under the Air Carrier Access Act, and one way to do this may be with bulkhead seats. However, there will definitely not be a need to change seats at the last minute,” he explained.

Noting that “Delta seems to have gone to the dogs,” Leff noted other instances where a first-class passenger was booted to make room for an emotional support dog and four carry-on bags — along with The dogs were sitting upstairs and eating from the table. In the so-called exclusive Delta One lounge.

“It’s a dog-eat-dog world,” one Redditor mused.

“And some of us are wearing Milk Bone underwear,” offered another, recalling a famous line from the TV show “Cheers.”
