Path of Exile 2 may have launched in Early Access, but there’s still a ton of end-game content. One of the main end-game missions in PoE 2 is the Trial of Sekhemas, which unlocks in Act 2. These tests are also related to ascent in path of exile 2Due to which it has become extremely important for the players. However, completing the Trial of Sekhemas is not that easy, and players are reportedly struggling with it. So, here is a complete guide on how to complete the Trial of Sekhemas in Path of Exile 2.
Path of Exile 2: Path of Sekhemas Overview
The Trials of Sekhemas is an endgame mode, which awards ascending points upon completion. In this game mode, you have to progress through several rooms with different completion requirements and defeat the main boss at the end. To unlock this game mode you have to do this Defeat the Traitor Balbala in the Traitor Route in Act 2This is an optional boss, so you can skip it unless you pay attention while exploring the Traitor’s Path.
The main difficulty here is honor systemWhich is the total value of the character’s health and energy shield. But unlike your health and energy shield, Honor is not normally revived In the trial of Sekhemas.
Whenever you take damage in this game mode, you lose respect based on the damage done to your character. When honor reaches zero, character is automatically lost. And they are thrown out of the case, even though they are still alive.
PoE 2 has Sekhemas testing Five different types of roomsEach has a different perfection requirement. For example, in the Hourglass Room, you have to survive the given time to complete the challenge. Here are all the room types in Trial of the Sekhemas listed in order of difficulty:
- exodus: Activate all crystals in given time (easiest)
- hourglass: Survive until the timer runs out
- religious rites: Destroy all summon portals
- cup: Defeat specific enemies required to fill the chalice
- iron glove: Exit the room by completing puzzles to open the door (hardest)
As you progress through the rooms, you’ll find different things to help you progress through the challenge, including the possibility of debuffs. Progress rewards include shrines, more holy water to restore honor (Currency), keys to open chests, purchasable boons and runes.
Using the trial map, you can look ahead and find rewards or tribulations (aka debuffs) in the next room to navigate your way to the end.
How to complete the Sekhemas test in PoE 2
Now that you understand the basics of End-Game Mode, let’s talk about how you can complete it without losing all your honor.
- Increase your health or energy shield:The first thing you need to have is a large pool of health and energy shields. This will increase your reputation, making it much easier to pass the tests, especially on higher difficulties.
- Choose easy rooms to progress: The difficulty of Trials of Sekhemas mainly comes down to the room you choose to proceed to. Some challenges are easier to complete than others. I would suggest choosing the Escape and Hourglass rooms whenever possible, and skipping the Gauntlet if you have the option.
- use ranged skills: The Mark of Sekhemas heavily penalizes melee characters as damage taken reduces honor. The best way to go through this game mode is to either use a ranged class or a ranged skill. Even melee characters like the Warrior and Monk have several skills that you should focus on using in this mode.
- don’t leave traders: Whenever you come across a merchant’s room, it is always best to enter it because you can earn boons or buy runes. The runes you purchase will be a permanent reward, so even if you lose later, you will at least benefit in some way.
- avoid movement related problems: One of the worst afflictions in PoE 2’s Trial of Sekhemas is a movement debuff that you should always avoid if possible. Movement speed is extremely important in this game mode, as it helps to avoid damage.
So, that’s all you need to know about completing the Trial of Sekhemas in Path of Exile 2. I think This mod requires Honor Mechanic to fully function Before the final release of the game. Also, if you are looking for ascension points I would recommend you to play the Trial of Chaos game mode, as Trial of Sekhemas requires a very specific build to succeed.
