Perry's wife, Ettie Lau Farrell, posted a Statement on Instagram On Saturday he said the couple were “so grateful and so humbled” by the “beautiful words of love and support” they have received since then.that incident,
“As you know, Perry is the gentlest soul,” she wrote. “We are as surprised as you are by Perry's physical outburst – but you should know that Perry may have been pushed to his absolute limits… In that regard, we apologize.”
“We are taking some time for ourselves to reflect and get healthy,” said Ettie Lau, 49, adding that Perry, 65, “has already made appointments with an otolaryngologist and a neurologist.”
“If you know Perry well and love him, you know there is no need for me to address the other false stories,” he added. “Our souls know.”
Etta Lau then said Perry would “survive,” “get well” and “be happy again.”
“No doubt when he's ready he'll take another giant leap, overcoming obstacles so we can laugh, think and change the world together,” she said. “Then we can celebrate together. And you'll know we couldn't have done it without you.”
The altercation between Perry and Navarro, 57, occurred during the band's Boston show on September 13.
Perry was singing “Ocean Size” and became visibly agitated and began yelling profanity at the audience and his band mates.
He got in front of Navarro and began punching him, after which several crew members and bassist Eric Avery ran in and restrained the frontman.
The next day, A.T. Lau Claimed on Instagram Tensions were growing between Perry and the rest of the band, as his voice was being drowned out by all of their instruments.
AT Lau said that when the other three band members left the stage, Avery, 59, “walked up to Perry from the back, upstage, in the dark [sound technician Dan Cleary]He grabbed Perry by the head and punched him three times in the stomach.”
AT Lau wrote, “Perry remained like a rabid animal for the next half hour – he did not eventually calm down, but broke down and kept crying.”

The band said, “For the sake of all the fans, the band has made the difficult decision to take a break as a group for a while.” A statement on Instagram,
Navarro, Avery, and drummer Stephen Perkins issued a separate statement, blaming the fight and tour cancellation on Perry's “continuing behaviour and mental health difficulties”.
“Concerns about his personal health and safety, as well as our own, have left us with no choice. We hope he gets the help he needs,” the trio said.
Meanwhile, Perry said, apologized for his behavior In his own statement.
“This weekend has been incredibly difficult, and after having the time and space for reflection, it's only appropriate that I apologize to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, fans, family and friends for my actions during Friday's show,” Perry said.
He added, “Unfortunately, my broken state led to inexcusable behavior, and I take full responsibility for my decisions in dealing with this situation.”
Sources close to the situation exclusively told The Post that Perry was “saddened by his actions” and ultimately realized “he waited too long to prioritize his well-being.”
“His exhaustion and the toll it has taken on his physical and mental health has been overwhelming,” the source said. “He had the best intentions in going on tour with the band and feels he has let his fans and family down.”
Jane's Addiction was founded in 1985. The group's core members began their first tour together in 14 years that summer.
