Forget OCR Tools: Windows 11’s Photos App Now Lets You Copy Text from Images

Now, the official Photos app on Windows 11 can copy text from images seamlessly. Yes, it now comes with built-in OCR text detection.

The best part is that you don’t need to setup anything to access the feature. Only Update Windows 11 to the latest 24H2 build (26100.2454 or later) and update the Photos app (2024.11100.17007.0 or later) through the Microsoft Store.

Now, open an image containing text and you will be able to easily copy the text.
