From porn stars to pixelated bliss.
Adult film star Chloe Amour, 33, has revealed she sold her likeness to an AI company to ease the pressure of her challenging career.
The Las Vegas-based artist has spent years working with major studios in the adult film industry Becoming a “Pretty Woman” in Real LifeBut as his workload increased, he decided to use a virtual alter ego to interact with his fans when he was unavailable.
The move is not only a way to reduce their workload, but also part of a growing trend in the adult entertainment industry where performers are using AI to maintain their presence online.
Amour explained that although she enjoys connecting with her fans, there are moments when she cannot fulfill all their wishes.
“When I interact with my fans directly, sometimes there are things they want to talk to me about, or things they want from me that I may not be able to give them,” He told the daily mail,
“But through AI, they have my likeness, and it feels like I can be anything they want me to be.”
However no one is being fooled.
“It’s very transparent because they know it’s AI, it’s not me physically behind the device communicating with you — you know you’re paying for it,” Amour said.
Their decision came when an AI company approached them with a proposal to create their own virtual counterpart. In exchange for a fee, she provided the company with photos, videos, and personal details to make the AI version look as lifelike as possible.
Amour admits that AI still seems “creepy and weird” to her sometimes, but she appreciates its ability to lighten her workload.
“When you get booked [porn] Shoot, you’re in control of that company,” he explained.
“You’ll be on set anywhere between four, six, eight, ten, twelve hours, who knows?”
Using a virtual persona to connect with fans gives them a chance to take a break while still maintaining their online presence.
However, he has one regret.
“I should have signed up with them sooner because I would have gotten a bigger bonus!” She laughed.
Amour’s AI personality is one of many AI-generated women used to live with men.
The growing trend of AI avatars in the adult entertainment world is a sign of how technology is changing the landscape.
In fact, some fans are now able to create their own custom virtual partners, incorporating everything from their appearance to their personality traits, hobbies, and sexual preferences.
Platforms like CamSoda have taken this even further by allowing users to create personalized AI “girlfriends” that become permanent features on the site.
These virtual companions are available 24/7, respond quickly to users’ requests, and offer a level of privacy that traditional live-stream cam shows can’t.
A top tech executive has predicted this “AI girlfriends” will create $1 billion in business,
Late Checkout CEO Greg Isenberg wrote a blog post on X in which he shared that he met a man in Miami who “admitted to me that he spends $10,000 a month on “AI girlfriends.”
“I thought he was joking,” Isenberg wrote. “But, he’s the only 24-year-old who likes it.”
Isenberg said he was “speechless” by the encounter and predicted that “somebody will build an AI-version of Match Group and make $1B+.”
Match Group is the parent company of dating apps like Tinder, Match.com, Hinge, OKCupid and Plenty of Fish.
While users and some sex workers are adopting the technology, Others aren’t too enamored with the idea,
Facebook and Instagram reportedly host thousands of explicit ads for AI-generated companions and “girlfriend” apps — and sex workers are accusing Meta of double standards when it comes to policing.
Some human sex workers raised concerns about supporting AI-powered sex services on Meta and allowing them to grow while Facebook and Instagram restricted human sex work as “adult content”.
