Pregnant Ashanti BLOWS UP To 200 lbs … Fans Are Body Shaming Her

R&B singer Ashanti is getting close to her due date. And she looks every bit of 8 and a half months pregnant. Over the weekend, a new unfiltered photo of Ashanti began circulating on social media.

And unfortunately for Ashanti, many of her fans and followers are body shaming her. Media take Out analyzed the photos – and compared them to other photos of the beautiful singer and we estimate that Ashanti – who is 5 foot 3 – now likely weight more than 200 lbs.

Here’s Ashanti, looking happy and healthy – and enjoying her pregnancy:

According to the Centers for Disease control, most women should gain somewhere between 25 and 35 pounds (11.5 to 16 kilograms) during pregnancy. Most will gain 2 to 4 pounds (1 to 2 kilograms) during the first trimester, and then 1 pound (0.5 kilogram) a week for the rest of the pregnancy. The amount of weight gain depends on your situation.

Before Ashanti’s pregnancy she had a perfect shape – not to skinny and not to big. And she had one of the flattest stomach’s in the industry.

Pregnancy is not the same for everyone …. and women should be able to enjoy their pregnancy without having to be body shamed for the changes come along with bringing a life into this world.
