Reddit down for thousands day after rolling out fix for software bug


Reddit shut down for thousands of users on Thursday, according to an outage tracking website downdetector.comA day after this, the social media company said that it has fixed a bug after a recent software update.

According to Reddit, the company on Wednesday fixed a software bug that blocked thousands of people from accessing the social media platform.

DownDetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources, including users, showed more than 50,000 reports of outages.

Reddit did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
