First-term Hudson Valley Republican Rep. Mark Molinaro inadvertently posted an endorsement video from an influencer who promoted 9/11 conspiracy theories, before deleting the post this week.
Molinaro posted a video of support for Alexandra Davis on Twitter on October 10, in which he also criticized her Democratic opponent, Josh Riley.
He was unaware that Davis, a self-described “conspiracy realist” with 24,700 followers on Instagram, had raised eyebrows for promoting conspiracy theories about the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
On his account, Davis reposted a major general’s statement from September 12, 2022, which said, “I saw a missile hit the Pentagon, not the plane” – when the hijackers What really hit American Airlines Flight 77 In the Pentagon.
Davis then posted, “This isn’t exactly a fun rabbit hole to go down, but it’s an important one. “Once you start, you’ll never see the world the same again.”

Asked Tuesday about Molinaro posting a video supporting Davis, a campaign spokesperson said, “We were not aware of it (Davis’s 9/11 conspiracies) and we just removed it.”
“She was a campaign supporter and sent us a video,” the representative said.
Davis was not immediately available for comment.
