Rosie O'Donnell guffawed that Sean “Diddy” Combs “can really sing,” referring to the maximum security prison in Ossining, New York, which housed sex trafficking and racketeering arrests decades ago.
O'Donnell, 62, was Diddy's neighbor in Miami and recently revealed that she Received an invitation To One of their famous white parties Although he reportedly met her only once.
But while speaking to iconic '90s girl group TLC a few years ago, he made several jokes about the troubled music legend, and told Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas to “watch it if you like it.”
“There are a lot of nominees this year — a lot of Grammy nominees. Lauryn Hill got four, TLC got eight, and Sean Combs got five to 10.” As the four women burst into laughter, the comedian added, “Get it? Like he's going to jail.”
But O'Donnell said he had an even better slapstick weapon.
“I was going to go… I don't mean it in a bad way because, I mean, he's a nice guy and he can really sing. Oops!” she said, turning to the camera to cover her mouth as the music group laughed.
Diddy was arrested last week on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
Despite the efforts of his lawyer, the rapper was denied bail twice as prosecutors claimed he was a flight risk. Diddy is sitting in a special housing unit at the Metropolitan Detention Center alongside crypto crook Sam Bankman-Fried.
The “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper has been accused of smuggling sex workers across state lines and forcing women he dated to participate in “freak offs” with male prostitutes.
Diddy's alleged “freak offs” were described as “elaborate and produced sex performances which Combs arranged, directed, masturbated and often electronically recorded.”
Prosecutors claimed he would use recorded footage of the “freak offs” as “collateral” for blackmail and would use a gun to “intimidate and threaten” them.
O'Donnell Comments on Diddy's arrest and compared him to sex offender Harvey Weinstein.
Diddy's troubles began when the FBI raided the musician's Miami and Los Angeles homes in March in connection with a sex-trafficking investigation. The 14-page indictment revealed that agents seized 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant, photos and footage of “freak offs” and three defective AR-15 assault weapons during the raid.
Diddy was charged with three counts of racketeering conspiracy, forced sex trafficking, fraud or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He pleaded not guilty to all counts.
If convicted on all counts, he could face decades in prison.
