Two people are dead and at least six people — including two children — were injured during a shooting at a Juneteenth festival in Texas Saturday night, officials said.
The shooting rang out in Old Settler’s Park in Round Rock, Texas, where police said they were investigating the scene shortly after midnight.
Four adults and two children were rushed to area hospitals with “potentially serious injuries,” according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
Round Rock police told CNN that they are searching for suspects.
People had gathered in the 640-acre park outside of Austin for a Juneteenth BBQ followed by a festival and concert.
Rapper Paul Wall and his band were one of four musicians scheduled to perform at the venue.
“Round Rock, we are praying for everybody,” Wall said in a post on X.
The rapper later shared a post with five broken heart emojis.
No information about the suspect was immediately known.
