Runaway goats and sheep invade Virginia interstate highway after mysterious escape: cops

Get the flock out of here!

A gang of goats and sheep broke out of a Virginia farm on Wednesday and tried to make their getaway – on a busy interstate highway, according to state police in the Old Dominion State.

The fugitives from the Chesapeake farm broke out during the evening and somehow got over or around a barrier wall and onto Interstate 64 near the High Rise Bridge, cops said on Facebook.

The department said troopers “weren’t kid-ding around” when they rushed to the rescue.

“Why did the goats and sheep sneak around the sound barrier wall near their farm?” the troopers quipped. “To see what was on the other side, apparently.”

The nine four-legged escapees, which included a lamb, were rounded up by the Chesapeake Animal Patrol and returned safely to the friendly confines of their farm, police said.

No word on whether they were punished for being so baaad.
