An obese dog rescued from the basement of a Russian hospital was found by animal shelter workers when he was so incredibly fat that he was unable to walk.
Kroshik, or “Crumbs,” may have been living in less than ideal conditions, but he certainly wasn't starving — the giant ginger ale weighed a whopping 38 pounds.
The fat cat's condition came to light when he was surviving on cookies and soup, reports Newsflash.
It is believed that the hospital staff enjoyed feeding him so much that things went too far.
“Kroshik's story is an extremely rare case where someone fell so much in love with a cat that they fed it in this condition,” said a spokesperson for the Matroskin shelter in love.
The veterinarians at the shelter were unable to perform a proper ultrasound on the obese boy during his medical exam due to Krosik’s excessive weight.

According to WebMD, most domestic cats should weigh around 10 pounds — though this can vary by breed.
