Seether is getting ready to drop their latest album, The Surface Seems So Far, this fall. To promote the forthcoming set, the band recently shared the project’s lead single, “Judas Mind,” and it quickly landed on a number of Billboard charts. This week, the tune reaches a new peak on nearly every ranking it appears on.
“Judas Mind” climbs to a new top placement on two Billboard tallies. Between the pair of lists where it appears higher than ever, it performs best on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. On that radio ranking, the single jumps from No. 22 to No. 16.
At the same time, “Judas Mind” manages a special feat on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart. On that more all-encompassing list, Seether’s latest reappears after falling away not long ago. The tune has now spent just two frames on the roster, though they were not consecutive in a row.
As the song hits the Rock & Alternative Airplay list once again, it returns at a new peak. “Judas Mind” appears at No. 38, breaking into the top 40 and establishing itself as a proper hit.
Seether’s latest is performing especially well at radio, but when it comes to overall consumption of the tune, things aren’t going so well. “Judas Mind” falls from No. 10 to No. 18 on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart this frame. That tally uses a methodology that combines streams, sales, and airplay, and focuses only on hard rock cuts.
Big things are expected of “Judas Mind” in the coming weeks. Several of Seether’s more recent singles peaked at No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. The new tune is just getting started, but the band and their label are likely aiming for another champion, or at least a top 10.
