A police suspect accused of strangling a woman to death outside a Times Square hotel was arrested in New Jersey on Tuesday, according to law enforcement sources.
Jaheem Warren, 33, stalked and strangled a woman in Midtown on October 29 and dumped her body on the sidewalk in front of the Riu Plaza New York Times Square on West 46th Street.
He was arrested in Prospect Park by the United States Marshals Service and charged with two counts of murder.
The victim, who is in her 30s, was taken off life support on November 8, sources said.
Records show Warren has an extensive convicted criminal history in New Jersey.
When reporters outside the Midtown North precinct asked if he had attacked the woman, Warren, who was in handcuffs, said “no” before being placed in the back of a cruiser.
Apart from the two murder charges, he was also charged with two counts of assault and two counts of strangulation, sources said.
