Squid Game Season 2 is officially here, and while everyone thought we’d see the contestants playing the same first season gamesThe creators surprised us with a twist. 1. Dadakji
This is the game that the recruiter plays with the people he wants to recruit for Squid Games. So, in the first episode of Squid Game Season 2, we see her playing frolic with a guy at the subway station.
Dadakji is a traditional South Korean game in which two players try hard to overturn each other’s tiles made of folded paper. To determine who goes first, players start with Rock Paper Scissors. In the game, one player has to place his tile on the floor, while the other player has to throw his tile on the floor to turn it over and win the round.
2. Jokenpo
It’s basically Rock Paper Scissors but with a twist. After capturing Mr. Kim and Woo-seok, recruiter Forces them to play the game with their tied hands. While traditional rock paper scissors requires players to play the game with one hand, jokenpo uses both hands. After that, players must draw one of their hands back, guessing which hand will win them the round. Additionally, if you fail to pull back one of your hands in time, you are disqualified.
The recruiter inserts a bullet into the gun and rotates the cylinder for each round. Whenever a player loses a round, he holds them at gunpoint until the end, where he kills Mr. Kim after losing to Woo-seok.
3. Russian Roulette
While most of the games at Squid Games are ones that kids play, Russian Roulette is unique in the crowd. This occurs at the end of the first episode of Squid Game Season 2. The recruiter asks Gi-hun to play it to show what he is capable of. He sets the rules and puts a bullet in his gun like he did earlier with Mr. Kim and his aide.
However, this time, the rules were different; The cylinder will not be rotated every revolution. Therefore, the chances of coming out alive decrease after each round. In the end, when there were only two shots left, our hero had a 50% chance of not shooting himself. Luckily, he wins the game, and the recruiter kills himself.
4. Red light green light
The Red Light Green Light Squid game was the first game of Season 1, so most fans are already familiar with it. However, there may be some people who want to learn what it really is. so here we are.
Red Light Green Light is a traditional children’s game in which the player stops when the caller calls ‘Red Light’ and runs towards the finish line when the caller calls ‘Green Light’. In the Squid game, the players’ activities are monitored by a robotic doll, which is actually a sensor. Those who successfully stand still when the machine turns towards them after calling ‘red light’ are saved, while those who make any kind of movement are immediately shot. Therefore, this is the game that attracts most of the crowd within a few minutes.
5. Six-legged pentathlon
Six-Legged Pentathlon is the second game that players are seen playing in Squid Game Season 2. The game is played in teams of five where each player’s feet are tied together. There are five mini-games set at ten-meter marks each, and each player must take their turn to become the winning team. Games must end in five minutes and teams must move on only after successfully passing each game. Below are the mini-games included in the Six-Legged Pentathlon in Squid Game 2:
- Dadakji: This game is discussed in the first section of this list.
- Flying Stone: The player has to throw a stone at a stone stuck in the ground to throw it from a distance.
- Gong-Gi: Also known as Korean Jack or Seven Stones, Gong-gi is played with either small stones or plastic cubes. In this game the player has to throw a stone in the air and catch it after picking up the stone on the ground. The game has several levels which involve catching stones with the back of the palm or tossing all the stones into the air and catching them before they land on the surface.
- spinning top: A player must wrap a metal rotating top with thread and rotate it across the floor to win the game.
- Jaegi: Jagi is the easiest. To win the game, the player must keep kicking Zegi repeatedly to prevent him from touching the ground. Jegi is usually made of paper wrapped around a small coin.
6. To mingle
Like Six-Legged Pentathlon, Mingle is a new game that has made its way to Squid Game Season 2. The remaining players must stand on the central platform as it rotates. After the music, when the platform stops rotating, and a number is announced over the intercom, players must find their way into small rooms with the number of players called each round. Those who fail to meet the numerical criteria or are unable to reach the room in time are killed by the guards.
7. Lights off
This is not officially a round in Squid Games, but it plays just as important a role as the official round. Apparently, to reduce the number of survivors even further, staff at the complex give contestants forks. They let everyone keep him for the night. Knowing that the game could end the next day of voting, the contestants are motivated to kill people at night. By doing this, they are able to increase the prize money, which also increases their shares. Unlike the other rounds, Lights Out features killer contestants.
