The 67-year-old “Family Feud” host was the target of a recent death rumor, allegedly inspired by an AI gone wrong.
Chaos erupted online after an article titled “Steve Harvey passes away today: Remembering the legacy of a comedy legend” was published on Trending Cast News earlier this week.

It is now believed that the article was the result of an AI error.

A Newsbreak app user blamed a “virus” for spreading the rumor.
“Woke up to a notification that Steve Harvey had died, I went to ‘X’ and found out it was a virus. Of course this virus was on my phone too. That Newsbreak app is starting to become a problem,” the person commented.
Others suggested Harvey file a lawsuit over the fake news.

This is not the first time that Harvey has been the victim of a death rumor.
