She’s the Danish modelling icon who dated INXS frontman Michael Hutchence and famously cavorted on the beach with Chris Isaak in the video for his hit song Wicked Game.
Helena Christensen was one of the original 1990s supermodels, dominating the runways alongside the likes of Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer and Linda Evangelista.
With her dark, sultry looks and awe-inspiring body, she was a rare beauty — and at 55 she still is.

On Instagram on Thursday, Christensen was in a nostalgic mood, sharing some throwback pictures from her modelling heyday with the caption: “Sands of time.”
Most of the photos were beach-themed fashion and swimwear shots showing off her toned body and immaculate style.
But other, more recent posts showing what Christensen looks like now had fans noting that she barely seemed to have aged in 30 years.
“So beautiful … always!” one follower wrote.
“How do you do that, that you don’t age at all and always look so amazing?”
“Do you work out/exercise, or are you just naturally perfect,” another fan wondered, prompting a reply from the model herself that indicated she worked hard to stay in shape.
“Boxing/weights/cold water plunging/sprinting/trekking,” she wrote, adding a sweating face emoji.
“I just can’t with you, forever the most beautiful!” said a third.
Others said Christensen’s beauty was “timeless” and she still looked “the same” now as she did then.
“Are you a witch?” one fan joked.
“You never age.”
On Instagram, Christensen has written before about why she takes cold water plunges.
“A dip in some cold water boosts oestrogen and testosterone production, adding an edge to fertility and libido,” she once wrote.
“The benefits of increased libido include more confidence, higher self-esteem, and enhanced mood.
“The heart has to pump faster in cold water and the body must work harder to keep everything warm.
“Plus so much more, metabolism and immune system boost, burns calories, improves circulation, reduces stress.”
Christensen famously dated Michael Hutchence for five years, splitting their time between Paris and her homeland Denmark.
They split when Hutchence met Paula Yates, his final partner before he died in 1997.
Writing about Hutchence after his death, Christensen described the rock star as a “very passionate, very emotional” man.
“With Michael, in the beginning I couldn’t even cry, because I was so confused and angry,” she said.
“Then it was straight into, ‘Goddamit, why?’
“It’s so silly. He still had so much in him. I know he didn’t want to leave his little child (Tiger Lily) like that.
“Five days before he died we had one of the best conversations we’d had since we broke up.
“He was happy, content.
“He was always so real and honest, it wasn’t like he was going to pretend he was happy if he wasn’t.
“I’m so glad we had that conversation.”
