After relocating from Seattle to Miami in 2023, tech billionaire Jeff Bezos has been busy expanding his real estate portfolio. According to a Bloomberg report, Bezos has spent a total of close to $237 million (approximately Rs 1,973 crore) on three properties located in Florida’s Indian Creek Island, also known as the ‘Billionaire Bunker’.
According to Forbes, Jeff Bezos is the third richest man in the world with a net worth of approximately $201 billion. He recently spent $90 million (approximately Rs 749 crore) to acquire his third luxurious mansion in Florida’s exclusive ‘billionaires bunker’ enclave. Previously, he had acquired a property for $68 million (approximately Rs 566 crore) in June, followed by another purchase in October, which cost him around $79 million (approximately Rs 657 crore). All these properties are located on Indian Creek Island, which has emerged as the most favoured real estate destination for billionaires.

The 60-year-old tech billionaire, who graduated from Miami Palmetto Senior High School in 1982, relocated to Florida in 2023 to spend more time with his family. Jeff Bezos’ parents also own two properties in Florida: one in Miami Beach and another in Coral Gables. Interestingly, the state’s regulations for billionaires make it an ideal destination for the world’s wealthiest.
According to Business Standard, Bezos’ new resort-style six-bedroom mansion overlooks the ocean and spans 12,135 square feet. It includes a massive outdoor pool, a lush green garden, and a separate guesthouse. According to a PageSix report, the last recorded sale of the mansion was for $2.5 million in 1998.
