A 15-year-old boy accused of shooting dead his parents and three siblings in their luxury home in Washington state has been banned from contacting his sister, the sole survivor of the shocking massacre.
The suspect — whose name has not been released publicly because of his age — was ordered to have no contact during his first court appearance Tuesday, the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said.
Prosecutors asked the court to charge the teen with five counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.
The surviving 11-year-old sister was shot twice during the disturbing murder.
After receiving medical attention from a neighbor, he was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The children’s parents were identified late Tuesday as Mark Humiston, 42, and his wife, Sarah.
According to his LinkedIn, Humiston was a software engineer at Hargis Engineers in Seattle.
All three children killed are believed to be teenagers, with the eldest being a 15-year-old.
