A judge later ruled that McCammon “will have no contact with the infant child.”
The victim’s mother said the newborn would not be influenced by his criminal mother and McCammon would have to face his punishment.
“The innocent child will be loved and raised without your influence. There is no time that they can give you that will be equal to the time that God has given you. You will burn in hell.”
Davidson praised McCammon’s guilty plea and subsequent prison sentence.
“These convictions and sentences demonstrate the continued commitment of law enforcement and the District Attorney’s Office to aggressively investigate and prosecute child rape and sexual abuse cases in this District, particularly where minor children are the victims,” he said.
“We are pleased that we were able to achieve finality, certainty and closure in this case for the victims and their families and the Tipton County community.”
